Wayne has been a lifelong resident of Osage County born and raised in Michigan Valley until 1960 when the family was relocated to rural Lyndon.

Wayne was very young when he realized that he was passionate about calling for bids. He was just twelve when he sold a baby calf at the Waverly Sale Barn, which would begin a career that has spanned more than five decades. Wayne conducted his first farm auction in 1968.

In 1974 Wayne and Marcia married and Wayne earned his Real Estate license. Wayne and Charles Beatty established Beatty & Wischropp Auctions and worked together in the auction business until Charles and Viola Beatty retired in 2013.

Wischropp Auctions, owned and operated by Wayne and Marcia Wischropp, is a full-service auction company assisted by Michele Loeffler, Realtor and office manager and their son Craig Wischropp, Auctioneer.
